PS3 wifi connection problem?
i let my 40gb ps3 do a scan for a wireless signal and it found one.i have no clue of what to do.i dont have a router or anything, but there is a wifi hotspot about 3 or 4 blocks from where i live.i would like to connect, but when i try to do the connection test,it says it cant obtain an ip address.also, how do i know the signal coming in is from the hotspot,or just someones private connection?it displays that the ssid is 2wire114...i need any help i can get.can i access this connection even though i dont have a router at home?how do i fix the ip address problem?also, what about the ''wep'' keys and all that?im a total noob at this wifi stuff,so please help.if posible,i would like to access wifi for my ps3.i just dont want to intrude on someones private connection...also,the signal strength is around 15 to 20%.any help would be great!thanks.
