No, not necessarily. Unfortunately, weakness is human but that can't blame the institutions of religion. If religion was not so libertine, but people kept their personal baggage out of governance, that would work too. I think we're all just a certain amount prideful simply because we exist and, to me, that's not enough. And if you think I'm wrong, consider.. we're a race of intelligent beings alone, as far as any of us here know, and we're beginning ever so slowly to get into space exploration. I imagine religions look to get into space too.
