Can I buy a metric ratchet set for use on clic American cars?

While the metric set will not do him much good on the cars that he has if he works on other newer cars domestic or foreign and you can get the set for a good deal then I am sure he like any man that works on cars would be happy to get a snap on wrench set. But if these are the only cars he works on then I would spend the extra money and get him the standard set.
